Coding it Forward Fellowship 2026

The Coding it Forward Fellowship is a competitive summer cohort that empowers early‑career technologists to contribute to meaningful civic tech work within government offices across the United States. Fellows engage in impactful technical projects in areas like cybersecurity, data analytics, product, and software engineering while participating in programming, mentorship, and peer community events over a 10‑week period. The 2026 cycle runs June 8 – August 14, 2026, with applications open January 5 – January 19, 2026

• Paid full‑time summer fellowship ($20–$25/hour) working with government partners
• Hands‑on project experience in cybersecurity, data, design, product, or software engineering
• Professional development workshops and cohort‑wide community events
• Mentorship from experienced technologists and one‑on‑one support

U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, or permanent residents; 18+ years old at the program start; enrolled in or recent graduate from accredited degree or qualifying bootcamp/certificate program, and physically located in the U.S. for the entire fellowship
